Well, the shortest answer is usually price. This isn’t always true, but in general, more expensive lights have better technology and better research, and often have a spectrum designed specifically for the plant you’re growing, in our case plants.
Researchers have been able to find out exactly what kind of light a certain plant is looking for and then design lighting that best suits those needs. It goes without saying that these types of grow lights greatly improve the way plants grow.
