Dulytek DW8000 Hybrid 4 Ton Rosin Press VS Rosineer AUTO Hybrid 4 Ton Rosin Heat Press

December 17, 2021

If you want to get premium-quality plants to extract, then efficient rosin press equipment is an inevitable thing to buy. A rosin press is used when you want to create plants using a combination of heat and pressure. The pressure imposed by a Rosin press is something that creates high-quality plants without using chemicals and solvents.

However, there are thousands of Rosin press available in the market with different features and qualities. To help you out, we have scribbled a comprehensive buyer’s guide that will help you to choose the right equipment according to your need.

How to make rosin

Concentrate users that want to make rosin don’t need a science degree to understand the process. Essentially, the application of heat and pressure melts the cannabinoids and terpenes into a consumable resin. There may be more plant particulates in the final product, especially if using a hair straightener, but rosin tech makes up for it with its ease of use and efficiency.

Rosin can be made using a variety of tools. Prospective rosin makers will choose an appropriate rosin pressing tool based on how much final product they need. First-timers can start off by using household items like a hair straightener. Here’s exactly what you’ll need:

A tong-style hair straightener or flat iron with a low setting of 300 degrees Fahrenheit or lower. Higher temperatures can burn off terpenes with lower boiling points.
Starting material like a flower, kief, bubble hash, or trim
Unbleached parchment paper (never use wax paper because the wax will infuse into your final product)
Collection tool or dabber
(Optional) Heat resistant gloves to avoid burning yourself with the rosin tech
(Optional) Bar clamp for higher quantities and to maintain pressure on the rosin press
(Optional) Micromesh/silkscreen filter to keep plant matter out of the rosin
Method 1 — Hair straightener

Most users will try their hand at making rosins by using a hair straightener. Some well-known models have minimum temperatures that will render rosins consumable. For these models, users will have to heat the straightener, turn it off, and use a heat gun to check for the ideal rosin pressing temperature. Other smaller and more budget-friendly hair straighteners have low-enough temperature settings to press rosin. These models, however, are made with more brittle material that can be affected by regular usage.

Step 1
Turn the hair straightener to its lowest setting, generally, between 280 and 330 degrees Fahrenheit. Cut out a small piece of parchment paper (enough to hold the starting material) and fold it in half. Put the plants material in the middle of the folded paper and lightly press it closed.

Step 2
Place the paper and bud in between the hair straightener and ensure that the starting material is making indirect contact with the hair straightener. Apply hard pressure on the plants material for about 3 to 8 seconds until you hear a sizzle. That’s an indicator that the resin has melted.

Step 3
Remove the parchment paper and rosin from the hair straightener and unfold your parchment paper. Separate the compressed bud and remove the sticky rosin with a collection tool. The collection tool can also be used to remove any plant particles that are left. Users can also place the resulting rosin on a cold surface or non-stick silicone container to make it more manageable.

Method 2: Use a rosin press for larger quantities
For those wanting to press rosin in larger quantities, rosin heat press machines enable extractors to place starting material between two heated plates. The plates press together leaving behind amber-coloured rosin. Some rosin tech press models will come with temperature and pressure controls and LCD interfaces.

In just a few easy steps, plants consumers can transform their favourite, trichome-encrusted flower buds into potent and flavorful rosin dabs. The only disadvantage with rosin is that it can degrade quicker than other concentrates. The best way to store rosin is in an airtight and UV-protected container stored in a cool, dry, and dark place. All of the efforts are worth it to make cannabinoid-rich rosin dabs.

Dulytek DW8000 Hybrid 4 Ton Rosin Press

Features:

The Dulytek rosin press is a hybrid rosin press that extracts more in a smaller package. Smaller than Dulytek’s DW6000, the DW8000 exerts a little more pressure while processing twice the amount of your favourite strain. Its compact footprint makes the DW8000 the perfect investment whether you run a small business, or enjoy fresh rosin at the comforts of your home. The DW8000 exerts up to four (4) tons to process up to 12 grams of your favourite strains using its dual 3 x 5-inch solid aluminium plates with a press of a button. The DW8000 has a two-channel controller, giving you full control over the heat of each plate and time for pressing.

Rosineer AUTO Hybrid 4 Ton Rosin Heat Press

Features:

Rosineer rosin press is a powerful, foolproof machine that generates up to 4 tons of force and features large 3 x 5-inch solid aluminium insulated separately heated plates and an easy to use two-channel digital control panel. The press is for someone who values the simplicity of the design combined with strength and a streamlined extraction process. Sturdy Construction; Streamlined Design; Total Control of “Press” and “Release” Buttons; Gradual Pressing for Reduced Blowouts and Increased Yield. The Rosineer Auto Hybrid is for anyone who wants a simply designed rosin press that combines incredible power with a streamlined extraction process. Like Rosineer’s other rosin presses, the Auto includes a user’s guide and AC power cord.

What to Look for When Buying a Heat Press Machine

1. Heat Distribution Across the Platen
Your machine needs to be able to provide consistent, even temperatures across the platen. One of the most common problems with cheaper heat presses is that they do not manage heat distribution very well.

If you are planning on using the machine for hobby purposes I do suggest you start out with a more budget machine.

2. Accurate Temperature
Heat press machines are so much better than irons, due to the fact that you can actually set and control their temperature.

When you apply for the transfer, it is essential to have the correct temperature settings in order to process a heat transfer successfully.

Too little heat and you might find your graphic coming loose after only a few washes. Too much heat and you push the adhesive of your transfer too far into the fibres of the shirt, causing the image to look washed out and pale.

Of course, more expensive heat press machines typically have more reliable and accurate temperature readings.

3. Easy to Open and Close
You want a machine that opens in a smooth and fluid motion. An easy-to-open press is even more important if you are mass-producing custom shirts on a daily basis.

4. Digital Time and Temperature
Cheaper heat presses rely on manual or bell timers. They also typically have a dial thermostat.

Whilst this is perfectly fine if you are only heat printing occasionally, you would want a digital time and temperature control panel for heavier workloads.

Digital settings are also fabulous as you can input your desired settings and use them time and time again.

5. Warranty
Ensure that you have a look at the length of the warranty that comes with your heat press. We prefer to invest in a machine that comes with a lifetime warranty on the heat platen.

6 . Customer Service
What sort of customer service is available for the brand of heat press that you are looking to purchase. If anything goes wrong with the press, you want to know that there is a qualified service representative available to help.

Conclusion

Rosin is a potent plant extract that you can vape, dab, or smoke for powerful effects. Although Rosin can be made using a hair straightener, using a Rosin Press is the best way to maximize the quality of your extracts. Home Rosin Presses are affordable, easy to use, and give you amazing extracts.

If you want to try one for yourself, you can buy a Rosin Press. Various types of Rosin Presses are available to suit everyone and you can also find all the accessories you need for making and using Rosin online.
