Rosin presses are still relatively new tools on the market, but due to superb functionality and even better results, they are more than just an important tool to have. Basically, they use a combination of heat and pressure to extract rosin. But, these tools are by far more complicated than it sounds, so you will definitely need the best rosin press.
Read on to discover the best rosin press for your needs.

The HELIX 3 TON ROSIN PRESS is a manual rosin press manufactured in Denver, Colorado and is built with industry leading components. Want extractions without having to use solvents? PurePressure leads the way in solventless extraction technology.
The HELIX 3 TON ROSIN PRESS offers precision and reliability and it can go anywhere and press anything. The HELIX 3 TON ROSIN PRESS is the newest and best way to make solventless concentrates with ease at home, at your grow, a friend’s house, or just about anywhere. Perfect for any home grower or rosin enthusiast who is looking for a professional-grade unit. Easily press up to 6 grams of flower or 10 grams of sift or hash per cycle.
PurePressure presses feature heat plates that are manufactured in-house from 100% machined aluminum. The plates exhibit excellent temperature distribution. PurePressure’s custom designed 100% aluminum heat plates qualify for food-grade manufacturing and processing when used with adequate parchment paper, such as their 35lb premium vegetable parchment. Why aluminum? Aluminum plates offer better heat distribution than stainless steel which distributes heat unevenly which can cause discrepancies in your rosin when pressing.
This user-friendly unit is easy to operate and does not require an air compressor. The Helix offers highly responsive pressure control that allows for as little as 10 lb force increments and the ultra accurate force measuring load cell displays bag pressure in real time – a market first for manual rosin presses. The press features pre-set options so you can save the settings you like best. The Helix is manual rosin press technology at its best.
Hydraulic rosin presses are the next step up. They still use hand pumps to generate pressure, but actual hydraulic cylinders are doing most of the work. With most hydraulic presses, you need to purchase the hand pump separately, but you do not need an air compressor.
Hydraulic presses generally come in the 5 to 20 ton range and are smaller and lighter than pneumatic presses. Since they don't require an air compressor, they are much quieter, but they do require manual pumping. For that reason, they are more suited for home use than for a commercial operation.
That said, all the presses can be upgraded with a foot pump and air compressor and the largest can even be attached to an electric pump for complete hands-off operation.
