Most plants are known to not survive freezing temperatures. Bringing them indoors is your best bet for protecting them, where limited light will be a problem. Not only can being in the sun cause yellowing problems, but it can also cause your plants to lose their colorful appearance. In order to solve this problem, various grow lights have emerged as the times require.
LEDs offer many advantages when it comes to growing plants. As mentioned above, they are more efficient and emit less heat than traditional lighting options, which helps reduce power consumption. Plus, LEDs can often be dimmed or automatically adjusted to suit your needs, allowing you to customize the intensity and spectrum to perfectly suit your strain. On the downside, LEDs can be expensive and require additional shielding if they are too bright.
LEDs also last longer than traditional lighting options, meaning you won’t have to replace them as often. This saves you money in the long run because you don’t have to keep buying new bulbs. Plus, LEDs are more environmentally friendly than other lighting options because they don’t contain any harmful substances.

Spectrum
While everyone has different preferences, we recommend choosing one that is full spectrum (or at least offers red and blue wavelengths).
Blue lights promote leaf development and vegetative growth, while red lights speed up the fruiting/flowering process, which is great for flowering herbs!
Some recommend grow lights that use infrared and ultraviolet wavelengths. However, these options are tricky to use and may even compromise the plant’s extended lifespan if used incorrectly. Unless you’re an expert in the field, skip them entirely.
Energy Efficiency
Another important factor to consider! Energy saving grow lights will save you a lot of money and electricity bills in the long run without compromising the quality of your farming.
In addition to wattage, don’t forget to research the lamp’s PPE (Photosynthetic Photon Efficiency) rate, which tells you how much light is usable per watt produced.
Light Intensity
